I just want to tell you how much I liked this book. My only problem is that the author killed off Deke too soon in my opinion. He was a snake in my (as well as others) eyes, but he was an integral part of the story. Otherwise I really enjoyed the story.

I just finished reading Evans Above and really enjoyed it! It held my attention and I like the characters. While, as you say, the plot is sparse, the atmosphere (always my favorite part of a book or movie), is wonderful,

I would like to see you feature more British mysteries - especially cozies - as they are my favorite! And sometimes very hard to get some authors here in the states.

This is the best Michael Connelly book yet! If you haven't read Connelly's Bosch books, start at the beginning with BLACK ECHO. And don't miss THE POET, too. I just wish poor Harry had a happier home life.
